So, I went to this "peaceful" demonstration against this right wing political party that was also having a rally at the same time in that city. in advance I already knew that riots were ensued, and how right I was. The center of the city was on lock down because that's where the right wing demonstration was going on, so the peace protest was on the outskirts of the city.
When the demonstration was over, the people wanted to go in the center of town, but ofcourse they couldn't the cops made sure of that, and this is where the story starts...

At first, everything was good, people were just waiting in front of the gate to be let in...

...but soon afterwards, the crowd turned on the cops, started to throw rocks, cans and ooh yes, flares to light up the place

Then, it started to turn really violent, some rioters started pulling on the fences to have a go at the cops.

But the cops said "FUCK THIS SHIT" and started prepping their riot squad.

After they pushed back the crowed a bit, they set up another line

And all this little guy wanted was peace

These guys on the other hand, wanted mayhem!

So the cops pushed forward again, and they came

The crowd was actually quite large, they must of outnumbered the cops 10/1 atleast, but the cops were just better equiped...Here's a couple pics of the crowds.

And it was a succes, the crowds had dissolved in several smaller streets. And love prevailed once again

Finaly some good weather! I've been wanting to go out to this highway for a long time now, but the weather never let me. Tonight the sky's supposed to be clear. I'm hoping to get some good long exposure photographs. You know which ones I mean. Where the lights of the cars are all whiped out, kinda like in my Night train photograph, but more, and with cars. I hope this turns out the way I have it in mind otherwise it'll be kinda disappointing...
